You have no idea how glad I am that no one walked into the bathroom while I was doing this. That might've been kind of awkward, haha. But I succeeded in both getting the shot, and avoiding any awkward looks.
I spend a lot of my time in this building -- I have two classes two days a week here, and both of them are about 2 hours long. It's where the architecture/construction technology program is, but it's also got some high school classes. I encounter youngsters every Monday & Wednesday before and after my 116 class, and I always think, "God, I hope I wasn't like that in high school." You know I was. It's crazy how much of a difference five years can make.
I just kind of wish I was wearing my Converse instead of mocs, but I'm not about to redo this shot. :) So, happy bench Monday! :D TONY KATAI on Flickr: Posted a Photo

I had a hard time choosing between this one & the other, but I can't ignore the wind in my hair. It was really a lovely day today, weather-wise. I figured I'd ought to enjoy it a bit, even for a half hour. I promised myself I'd get outside more this spring/summer, so I'm trying to.
Tonight I'll be seeing my best friend after way too many days :] She never fails to make me feel better. Hopefully she can give me some insight.
You know what I was thinking about.. it's really weird how people don't trust people. When I was here Monday, a guy in a window-less green van pulled up and I thought, "Great, I'm going to get kidnapped." He parked and what does he do? Say hi, let out his two dogs and goes along with his business. Even tonight, when there are CHILDREN laughing on the playground a couple hundred feet away from me, I'm thinking, "Hopefully there's no one lurking in the brush.." I mean, the way the world is has totally changed from 60 years ago, but it's sad to the extent that we've taken it. You automatically think that someone walking along behind you is going to mug you; you think that weird looking guy is going to lure you into his van; you think that person over there is going to hijack you. Obviously you need to be aware of your surroundings -- but it's sad that we have to fear that everyone may harm us.
I wish it didn't hurt, hurt like this To say these things to you. I'll sacrifice one moment for one truth.
If we get through tomorrow then we'll be fine. We'll wait for forever and see how close we get.
It's just another day, one more chance to get this right. I'll sacrifice forever please just for tonight.
If we get through tomorrow then we'll be fine. We'll wait for forever and see how close we get.
The worst is over for now. Take a breath now let it out. FINCH; POST SCRIPT. kaylee(k). on Flickr: Posted a Photo
decluttr Hines Park is my new favorite place to be. I'm sure a lot more of my remaining 59 days will be spent here :] Being outside, surrounded by acres of grass and trees is wonderful after spending 30+ hours a week in a cinder block building.
I don't have much to say today. You can probably figure how I'm feeling today though.
Oh, but my spring class was canceled due to low enrollment. Not gonna lie, I'm bummed. I was really looking forward to it. Dah. Happy Bench Monday! kaylee(k). on Flickr: Posted a Photo
OMG. Day 300! I took this Friday though, but shhh. I like it a lot. I don't know how I'm holding it together anymore. Guess it's stuff like this.

I'm trying to be okay, I really am. I hung out with my Greek friend for a bit after 110. Then while he went to get chips before drawing, I went to this little field. About 30 minutes into class, I got a little teary eyed. He noticed, I tried to pull it together. Then he goes, "Come with me," and took me out in the hall to talk me through it. What an awesome guy. I'm going to miss this semester a bit.
I was going to do a Bench Monday shot, but I was too busy and I couldn't find anything/wasn't inspired by anything in my immediate vicinity.
You know what I need more than anything right now? A good, genuine hug. The one person I want to hug me and tell me is going to be okay can't, but that's only natural. But I need something more than a mom hug. I don't know.. Enough. TONY KATAI on Flickr: Posted a Photo
